Using Caravaggio's The Calling of Saint Matthew as inspiration, I set dressed and lit this still life. I focused on learning more about lighting, specifically ways to direct the viewer's eyes to the subject. I really enjoyed playing with the composition and "golden hour" feel of this piece.
